Parent Category: Prospective Students

Undergraduate students, who have enrolled in the Seminary as candidates for the Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, and who have post-secondary (high school) study courses or work and life experience that they think might qualify for college course credit at SPTS, in lieu of taking our prescribed courses, may engage in a process of evaluation of those courses or work/life experience to see if they do qualify for college course credit.

Types of work/life experiences include seminars or experience in church/synagogue vocation related study or experience, teaching, counseling, administration, mission trips, extension or correspondence courses, etc. The process involves getting an application and guidelines from the Registrar, selecting a specific course or courses in the undergraduate curriculum, with which the life experience seems to correlate, and working with an advisor designated by the Director of Undergraduate Studies to prepare a portfolio for evaluation.
